Current issues are originated and intended to captivate naive life-users and the easiest way to demonstrate foolishness is to be involved in current affairs. Zeigeist (spirit of the age) generates trends as pillars for economy. Fashions are hard to resist, as they are carefully crafted out of desires. The biggest paradox is that fashionable participants are by the rule blinded by their own desires and therefore unable to clearly perceive the inconvenient truth. This vicious cycle is unstoppable and usually drives individuals and society down the drain.

Intellectual victims
But, economic devastation is still better than mental. Mind affected by trends is futile like a template and therefore ready to adopt every new term or theory. Certainly, even most fashionable thinkers enter into a mental trap: check Alan Sokal and Jean Bricmont controversial book “Fashionable Nonsense”. By the way, these authors were also accused of using trendy jargon and nonsensical arguments (?!)

Flavour victims
We may be consoled by the fact all fashions are going to be obsolete faster than a melting snow. In the meantime, we may start (secretly) laughing to our own taste…no need to wait for fashion to change.
