Photography proves to be the most democratic medium, simple and accessible to everyone. However, democracy is also a synonim for mediocracy, indolence and boredom, which rules in these generic times, infesting our visual field with food, pets and selfies. In this sense, nothing expresses out times better than photography, which brings feast to our ever hungry eyes.

Photography is also the most perverse medium, succesfuly convincing us to believe in what we see. Nevertheless, capturing reflected light is the ultimate denial of reality, but it seems nobody could care less for any deeper- than-skin truth. I tweeted long time ago: “Photography is a graveyard of light”. Today, I am convinced it is also a greveyard of mind.

All photo ID’s are nothing but pure deceivement, yet I am always amazed when officers look at my picture, trusting it more than myself.
